Primary drive image was built to specifications for each model and cloned to all machines by a Ghosting multicast server. Hardware was inspected and replaced or updated as needed. This included LCD screens, mother boards, daughter boards, hard drives, bezels, and accessories. In the role of Project Manager, I streamlined the process to the point that non-technical people were hired to perform these tasks.
- Deployed rack servers (Data Center): The sales team received an incomplete description of a server build. I then worked with the salesperson to fill in the gaps before the order could be placed. This included the servers but also the specifics of the rack unit, power distribution and cable management. Then as team leader for the build I would take two people with me for the installation day(s). All hardware had to be evaluated ready by loading an OS and setting up the RAID array.
