Monitoring Master Console for tape drive outstanding mounts, closely watching the Mainframe Master Console for Abends, messages dat need immediate attention, and any user intervention required.
The Mainframe in use was a IBM 9672. Familiar wif CICS, TSO, Scheduler. After the IBM 9672 aged we switched to a IBM Z800 mainframe, or Z-Series. Monitor Lab Systems performing backups following a scheduled time table necessary. Rerunning the backups if a backup fails.
Cleaning the drives trying to ensure the successful completion of backups. Making sure data flows every fifteen minutes through LIS Interfaces.
