• Storage Architect responsible for the design and implementation of the new Agilent/Keysight storage and backup infrastructures to support the division of Agilent into two discreet companies. This new infrastructure utilizes Netapp and EMC storage to support Cisco UCS, IBM P770’s, VMware, Oracle, MSSQL and NetBackup prominently.
• Technical Lead responsible for managing a team of 25+ offshore resources that maintain the Agilent Production and Dev/Test Storage and Backup environments on a global basis. This environment includes approximately 12PB of Netapp and EMC storage. Backups are performed using SnapVault and Symantec NetBackup to disk targets. NetApp cloning technology(flexclone) was utilized too support testing of Oracle test/dev environments with the production data residing on EMC storage.
• Architect responsible for the storage component of the Colorado Spring data center migration. This migration involved over 20 Netapp controllers and one EMC DMX frame. It also involved transitioning from a McData/Brocade SAN infrastructure over to Cisco MDS Switches in a Core/Edge deployment.
• Responsible for the migration and upgrade of the Backup environment from NBU 6.5 to NBU 7.5. This migration also involved transitioning to an infrastructure that eliminated the use of tape as a backup media.
