Network Engineer/System Administrator
Responsibilities:
- Lead a project to build out an engineering lab from the ground up after a cross country move. This lab consisted of several hundred servers containing various operating systems including Linux, UNIX, and Windows Server 12-16.
- Built out the lab network after the move connecting all the systems to main core that I developed. Core consisted of cisco and nexus switches, ASA's, RSA's and multiple extensions to different types of cisco and nexus switches.
- Supported the entire network as the lead network engineer of several hundred servers supporting different network functions utilizing firewall inbound/outbound limitations provided via ACL's by the ASA’s as well as very rigorous security implications supporting dual authentication authorization by the RSA’s.
- Developed and implemented upgrade plans for the network prior to the network move. These upgrades provided a more stable network via redundancy of the network core switches (utilizing fiber connections), network firewalls and the network dual authentication methods (RSA’s).
