Responsibilities:
- Confidential is a contractor of information technology personnel. While employed by Confidential I worked at IBM in Endicott, NY as an RPG Programmer(level - P7), working on Year 2000 projects utilizing RPG and COBOL on an AS/400. I served as a team lead on several projects, all of which were given a 100% customer satisfaction rating. I also helped setup a rapid inspection process and established a process to renovate software on the IBM System/36 computer system.
- Worked in county government. I setup the Information Technology department. Hired and trained staff, ordered and installed the hardware (System/38 and AS/400), prepared and managed department budget, interfaced with other department heads and legislators. Was responsible for all phases of Information Technology including planning, system analysis and design, programming, operations, networking, communications, security, disaster recovery and system support. Served on several committees working on special projects and long range planning.
- Employed by a hospital, and a manufacturer. Started my career at a hospital as a computer programmer on a System/3 writing in RPG II. As the department grew, I was promoted to the position of Manager of Data Processing, however I was still responsible for the design and programming of all systems. I later accepted a position as Manager of Data Processing for a manufacturing firm with office in 4 locations. I was responsible for the management and coordination of all operations. Setup data collection system and installed MAPICS. I utilized the System/3, System/34 and System/36 computers.
