Prior to my arrival the solution had been to re-image the machine taking up valuable time and effectively putting the trader out of commission for hours while the machine was being rebuilt. This patch was tested successfully and applied to all of the workstations in the US offices.
• Solely responsible for the initial testing and subsequent installation and support of the Vista operating system serving as the point person and liaison between the IT department and the in-house Q/A department responsible for the adaptation of the proprietary Espeed trading applications functions in conjunction with the Vista operating system environment.

• Solely worked with Thomson One in the creation and streamline of an installation package that prior to my arrival did not exist. Prior to this package in order to install this application one would have to go through numerous steps to compile pre-requisite applications and patches needed to install the application that could take many hours to complete. Now this application is able to be installed in minutes and even has an additional element that will diagnose the pc and present a package with only the necessary software for that individual machine.
• Point person for an asset management initiative involving 'lo-jacking' all laptops distributed to employees. Later as other IT employees were made aware of this program I was responsible for over-seeing training on the installation of said package.
