VMware/Active Directory Engineer/Architect 12 MONTH CONTRACT

Responsible for designing and implementing a new VMware architecture using Dell Compellent Storage and Servers. The redesign was commissioned to address performance and security concerns. Due to acquisitions and mergers, tasked to design a multi-forest 2012 Active Directory. Use of PowerShell was imperative to achieve the tasks and goals presented. The goal was a flexible and scalable design to compliment the business model. This required vacating the current forest and creating a new forest with multiple trusts to other business entities geographically dispersed across the world. This position required expertise in technical writing, documentation, and discovery. Upgraded ESXi and VCenter to 5.1 Update 1 and deployed vShield Endpoint across hypervisors. Designed and implemented Dell iSCSI SAN/vMotion network using Cisco 3560 Stacks with multiple vlans and ether channels to comply with PCI Certification and increase performance.

VMware/Microsoft Migration Consultant 3 MONTH CONTRACT

Task was to design a fully redundant and highly available architecture to support Prepaid Business Expense Cards and migrate from Linux Processing Platform to Microsoft/VMware architecture. Designed and implemented a 2008 R2 Active Directory on ESXi 5.1 architecture. Project included building a DR site using SAN replication and VEEAM technology to move data between data centers. Primary site implemented SQL 2008 R2 mirrors to achieve HA and BC. Using NLB and ARR IIS 7.5, load balanced websites in DMZ. Designed and managed layer 3 switching and routing using Cisco 2811's and 3560's. Security designed using Cisco ASA's 5520's in HA failover.
