- Maintained and write financial and other systems related to banking. Troubleshooting, customer support.
- Brought code from a homegrown legacy system (RPGII and RPGIII) into a more advanced programming environment (ILE and freeform RPGIV).
- Wrote new code, created new systems and upgraded and corrected existing code as needed.
- Investigated and corrected any problems that occurred during nightly batch processing.
- Worked closely and directly with the users, as is usually the case in small shop environments.
- Created applications in Visual RPG, IBM’s short-lived attempt to bring RPG into the Windows world.
