Senior Control Systems Engineer
- Responsible Engineer for the Prairie State Energy Campus Power Plant AQCS (Air Quality Control System- boiler back-end for a pair of 800 MW coal fired supercritical boilers) Review and revision of vendor and sub-vendor packages including P&ID’s, me&E schematics, wiring diagrams, instrument installation details, one-lines, elevations, general arrangements, analog & digital logic (sama) drawings, instrument indexes, IO databases, functional descriptions, O&M manuals, instrument data sheets and specifications to insure compliance wif project MR and Bechtel engineering standards.
- Participated in the successful FAT of all PLC controlled systems. Participated in the successful DCS FAT for the (AQCS) at Emerson’s Pittsburgh facility. Modified and/or revised the logic and/or programming of 38 AQCS sub-systems (Hydrated Lime Injection, Activated Carbon Injection, T/R system, multiple Hydraulic Power Units, Rapper System, and Oxidation Air Blower systems, HPU, FGD, DESP, WESP, etc) to insure proper and safe operation of systems. Compiled data from vendor package for inclusion into Infoworks (documentum) and Inspec systems. Became proficient reviewing, consolidating and mastering documents in Infoworks.
