Confidential is developing services and application for the security team and SOC (Security Operation Center) as part of an agile team. The project involved various technologies and development languages. M.   • The Bell Ottawa network team is tasked wif the development of automation script in Python and had a need for a secure way of storing sensitive information used by those scripts such as IP addresses, password, or shared keys. Mr. Confidential is mandated to develop a solution meets those requirements.
  • M. Confidential developed a microservice architecture using Google Golang and Hashicop Vault. M. Confidential developed an application wif RestAPI for the python script to call. The RestAPI provide the ability to sign the python script wif an Active directory autantication, and for the signed script to call and received the required sensitive information from a Hashi Vault backend d Confidential base.
  • M. Confidential also worked on the project as a Python instructor and mentor to the Network team which was working wif Python scripting language for the first time. M. Confidential helps them to understand the consumption of RestAPI, JSON d Confidential and code optimization. The team was introduced and learned Agile as a methodology to deliver the self-heal solution.

Responsibilities:

  • On a very large project run by Confidential for the Government of Canada, a solution was developed in Python to generate a daily report for the executive related to the performance of the F5 appliances that were critical to the delivery of the service to the customers. The scripts were unstable and were involving a complex and heavy manual process, resulting in frequent failure of delivering the reports.
  • Mr. Confidential was mandated to take over on that script to stabilize, and fully automate the report generation. M. Confidential analyzed the current solution, listed all the encountered issue and proposed a plan of migration and development.
  • M. Confidential rewrites a couple of the script to leverage the existing F5 API, in replacement of the existing SSH connection to run local commands and capture the resulting output. M. Confidential replaced the result of the performance metric collection from HTML file to an Elasticsearch d Confidential base to provide graphics capability of those metrics, making them useful and visible to the operation teams for monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • A portion of the issues was related to the incompatibility between some python libraries and the security constraints applied to the Linux Redhat operating system. To fix them, M. Confidential re-developed a portion of the solution using Google Golang and creating RestAPI for the python script to call on.

Confidential TEMPhas decided to use an F5 load balancer to load balance their Cisco ISE Radius autantication nodes that autanticate the 85.000 remote devices.
  • In that context, M. Confidential was engaged as a solution architect to design and configure two F5 clusters, one per d Confidential center to load balance that traffic. M. Confidential TEMPhas work to provide guidance to Confidential in term of redundancy by recommended a supported solution that provides Confidential a maximum of high availability for that service.

  • Mr. Confidential was used by Bell as a virtualization and migration expert to help the sale team to complete multiple RFP answers and to build pre-design architecture to align wif the customer requirements and expectations. Mr. Confidential was committed by Bell to create a Virtual Desktop and Virtual application environment.
  • Mr. Confidential architected and implemented a Citrix VDI and a VMware View infrastructure which grant Bell a capability of demonstration for our customer of the “Bring our own Device” concept. Mr. Confidential had worked on the tight integration of the VDI solution to Active Directory to demonstrate user profiles management in a VDI environment.
