In this current position I am responsible for all aspects of the network, including the test, development, DMZ, lab, voice and production networks. This includes multiple datacenters. I am responsible for network security including firewall rules, radius, authentication, IPSEC tunnels, SSH, and VPN Connections. I am responsible for the network to meet all compliance regulations for SAS 70 and the Sarbanes Oxley act. Responsible for 400 remote locations connecting back to our home office through various means including T1 PtP, WAN Metro, IPSEC firewall tunnels and Cisco wireless office extenders. I implemented VLAN's into the network to separate traffic the set QoS policies on the VLAN's for added efficiency. Upgraded data center to 10gb across all switches and EMC VNX appliance. I am responsible for the support and monitoring of the network using Cisco NetFlow and Solarwinds. I am also responsible for certain aspects of our SAN including creating and addressing LUNS. I am the backup Windows administrator I was previously acting as the Windows domain administrator and network administrator for about 18 months then rapid growth lead to the position being split. I also work daily in VMware using VMware distributed switches, virtual network appliances including internet filters, load balancers and Cisco Nexus 5000 and v1000 virtual switches.
