The Systems Administrator is in involved in provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, daily support and maintenance of systems and software as well as related infrastructure for our production and development environments.
This is a fast - paced and dynamic environment, often with multiple competing deadlines, so the ability to diligently multi-task is an invaluable skill.
The System Administrator position in particular, entails a considerable amount of hands-on, on-the-job training to learn how to support the various technologies necessary to run multiple business systems, so adaptability and a strong facility for learning quickly are essential.
Experience administering Linux servers is essential.
Familiarity with Networking Protocols.
Scripting skills (shell/Perl/Python).
Familiarity with AWS is a plus.
Experience supporting Tomcat, Apache, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ and MongoDB is a plus.
Experience with MySQL and Drupal is a plus.
Familiarity with virtualization environments is a plus.
Familiarity with Cisco Routers, ASAs, Cisco and HP switches is a plus.
Experience managing Windows servers is a plus.
Ability to work independently on projects as well as part of a team.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Proactive nature; ability to manage workflow without supervision.
Availability for 24/7 on-call rotation and response.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
