  • The role of Lead System Analyst provides consulting services, delivers and supports professional solutions to Confidential employees.
  • This role ensures that the existing Requirements Management, Business Process Modeling, Document/Deliverable management and Reporting tools are available for use by all appropriate teams and users.
  • The Tool Engineer is responsible for installs, upgrade planning, scheduled maintenance, managed releases, documentation and communication.
  • A lead system analyst provides insight and leadership for the roadmap and future enhancements of the tools entrusted to them.
  • This role provides support services in coordination with other IT departments and teams.
  • This role may direct and influence the work of other analysts and teams.
  • 8+ years of experience with information systems; design, development, support, maintenance and system administration
  • History of delivering professional solutions by translating business process requirements into a technical solution through design, implementation, testing, release management and training
  • Experience with Business Process Modeling and/or Requirements Management tools in a large organization.
  • Proven experience installing, administering, upgrading and supporting COTS software. Experience with HP ALM, MS SharePoint, MS SSRS and OpenText ProVision preferred
  • Experience working within or with IT organizations to provide user support and ongoing maintenance of a packaged or custom system
  • Builds enduring relationships with BlueShield employees and partners
  • Collaborate with colleagues, customers and partners to deliver professional solutions
  • Proven ability to define and document software usage standards, guidelines, FAQ’s and update same with current changes
  • Is quick to identify and/or acknowledge issues and perform appropriate troubleshooting principles to provide rapid and effective resolution
  • Safeguards the security, integrity and confidentiality of data
  • Has knowledge of operating systems, application servers, databases and reporting tools

  • Manages future enhancements to the tool in support of business needs and automation
  • Experience with technologies such as HTML, SQL, XML, scripting (e.g., Java and VB)
