Responsibilities:

  • Part of a team that designs, implements and supports numerous applications running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Our current emphasis is on building tools for rapid deployment in our private cloud with an eye to the future use of the public cloud.
  • To achieve this goal of rapid deployment in a virtual environment, our team uses the many options available in Red Hat Satellite Server, Red Hat Directory Server, VMWare, and a locally developed provisioning server, Workload Manager.
  • Responsible for supporting the WebSphere Suite of Applications, with main support for WebSphere MQSeries. We are currently upgrading all servers to RHEL6, which requires a complete rebuild of every server and MQ QManager.

Migrated storage from EMC to Hitachi on all clustered environment. Worked with Hitachi to minimize down time (Hitachi plan called for 2 to 4 hour downtime doing migration on Hitachi Device).
