Responsibilities:
- Supporting Developers in ClearCase and Multisite administration in UNIX & Windows Platform along with UNIX administration.
- Handling Build and Release management. Creating and delivering package to the SIT team and release to the customer as per the BL calendar.
- Responsible for overall clear case & build environment changes. Installation, configuration of Clear Case on Windows machines & responsible for migration during version change. - After the testing results, whenever a feature got rejected by integration team, the same feature has been quickly removed from Integration stream and provided new package for further testing.
- After the Confirmation from SIT team, merging of codes from Integration stream to the Release stream & the new baseline label will be tagged on all the affected files.
- Once the Labeling Process is completed, I ensured it compiles properly by setting the newly created label in new views & confirmed that there is no difference from Integration stream to Release stream. Then new Baseline label availability has been circulated via mail to the whole team in order to rebase the code changes.
- During Each Baseline release there are various other procedures to be followed as per the norms by generating the Final Release Note which will be having the list of features added, Number of files affected, Pronto ID details with description, Software element manager & FB hoper version, CS and Kernel label information, HW, SW limitations, requirements, Checksum details and the most important will be download link to access the released package from DUS.
- This Release note will be again circulated to the Bangalore ODC group members to let everyone know the Baseline has been released. Providing periodic Build report to Project Quality Team
- Responsible for Setting up ClearCase environment for users which includes clearcase installation, creating user’s Unix-id along with Dynamic view for new users in our team.
- Support the development team with the technical consultation of the Clearcase tool.
- Creating new VOBs and Views based on the requirement for different projects.
