Developer / Manufacturer
Responsibilities:
- Initially performed support functions such as magnetic field mapping, data acquisition and analysis, analog and digital circuit prototyping, circuit test, and schematic capture in ORCAD.
- Used oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, dynamic-signal analyzers, RLC meters, DVMs, etc. .
- Later designed and built custom analog circuits for experiments in the lab and in the field, including data acquisition signal conditioners, low noise and drift integrators and amplifiers.
- Soon became a key contributor in solving a number of critical system problems while working my day job as engineering support to manufacturing and to the field, for magnetics issues.
- Designed a pre-distortion filter for a device that gave the system immunity from external magnetic field noise.
- Designed and implemented simple changes to existing magnetic field homogeneity optimization software that allowed optimization over new shapes that I thought might improve marketability. This proved correct.
