Responsibilities:

  • Designed, built, and maintained the backbone network for Confidential which allows all departments to conduct operations. Responsible for the configuration and management of two redundant ISP Cisco routers using BGP and HSRP. Management of 12 firewalls: PIX, ASA5500, Check Point .
  • Check Point being the core ISP firewall. The core consisted of three Cisco 6500 - E. One of which I configured and installed for a new DR site to support Voice and data. Coordinated efforts with the sheriff and prosecutors department to design and implement an ultra secure network in order to protect law enforcement information and pass security audits. Was main lead in projects to redesign network segments, increase Web server performance and create network and equipment redundancy.
  • The network consisted of 35 router and 400 switches. Configured and supported WANs consisting of T1s, DS3s, frame relay, ISDN, ATM, EVPL, TLS and metropolitan fiber connections. Configured Cisco WiSM for the use of CCKM to provide of Fast Roaming . Authentication framework providing the transport and usage of keys was LEAP, EAP-FAST, PEAP-GTC, PEAP-MSCHAP, EAP-TLS (CCXv4). The 802.11b/g was used for over-the-air connectivity. WPA provided enhanced data protection and access control for WLAN systems.
