Setup a Linux Ubuntu server using Postfix as an SMTP server in order to forward the emails to the appropriate people. This program runs as a windows service. Also since they were having problems with Windows services periodically failing that were running their hosted software and were disconnecting clients, I wrote a program that monitors the services pertaining to that program which then emails a notification out to the IT dept. Also the same program emails them if the space on those computers drops below 5gb of available space. Created Linux .ssh scripts.
Created reports using Powershell that reported on MS Exchange 2010 email box usage and redirected the output to MS SQL 2008 then used ASP and IIS to display the information in a web browser which then displayed comparative monthly email maibox usage. Previously excel was being used to do the same thing which took a long time. Now management can see the email usage by clicking on a link in their browser.
Used Powershell to redirect Active Directory user information into MS SQL and displayed information using ASP.NET to display user information on a web page in a grid and drop down box allowing the user to display which users belong to what OU and what security groups each user belongs to.
Created notification system for the restarting of servers which notified everyone of the restart state of each server but also emailed users if a particular server failed to start. Did this using C .
