- Systems Administration of all DS Services' UNIX and Linux systems. Also served as primary SAN/Storage Administrator and primary administrator for backup solution for UNIX/Linux and Windows. Served as primary external facing DNS administrator. UNIX/Linux systems included multiple HP-UX servers as well as RedHat Linux, FreeBSD and legacy SCO Unix.
- Originally most applications and databases were on HP-UX but during my tenure we've migrated most things to RedHat Enterprise Linux RHEL starting with RHEL 2.1 going through RHEL3, RHEL4, RHEL5, RHEL6 and RHEL7 mostly RHEL5, RHEL6 RHEL7 now .
- Systems migrated include Oracle Data Warehouse, Oracle ERP and Financials. Worked also on migrating web services from Microsoft IIS to Apache on HP-UX and later to RHEL including Jboss. I have installed Oracle RAC on RHEL3 and RHEL5 and Oracle RAC/GRID on RHEL6. Built and administered RHEL Sendmail servers for separate domain, Additionally administered server with Jboss based Netbench Application, Firewall later replaced with a PIX , RHEL with BIND DNS servers and various other purposes. FreeBSD system used Nagios systems monitoring subsequently migrated to RHEL. Netbackup was originally on HP-UX master but later migrated to RHEL6 with multiple media servers including HP-UX and RHEL. Additional HP-UX systems used for Essbase and Kaba Payroll with Oracle Database. Storage composed originally of EMC Symmetrix 8830, DMX3 and Clariion CX500, CX700 and CX3-20 in SAN environment using EMC Connectrix but later migrated to Hitachi VSP using Cisco SAN switches. The HP-UX servers used Veritas Volume Manager VxVM and Veritas Filesystems VxFS . Worked with JetAdmin HPNP , CUPs and CEPs printing. Did regular database refreshes of test and training environments from associated Production environments. Maintained and added to Nagios monitoring for all systems including UNIX, Linux and Windows servers, and sundry equipment such as Air Handlers, UPSes, NTP time clocks etc Also did minor administration of legacy AS400 systems for a couple of years.

- environments. This included around 80 HP servers, 80 Sun servers and 30 Linux servers as well

- Started as Operating Systems Programmer II and was promoted to Operating Systems Programmer III and finally to Operating Systems Programming Consultant.
- This was system administration rather than programming despite titles. Administered multiple high end and/or High Availability UNIX HP-UX and Solaris servers along with associated systems such as EMC disk arrays and STK and Qualstar robotic tape libraries in SAN configurations. Served as group Subject Matter Expert for Foundation and Orbix middleware products. Supported other UNIX based software application installations including Remedy, Maestro, Patrol, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Netbackup, Sun Cluster and HP ANSI C. - Started as Technical Support Specialist and was promoted to Boxload/Conversion/System Administrator Specialist then to final position noted above.
- As Technical Support Specialist did remote application and operating systems support for Encore Developed application running on various UNIX platforms primarily AT T System V releases 3.1 and 3.2 and 4 on 3B2 400, 600, 1000 and 6386 systems. Other platforms worked on included NEC Astrix, SCO Xenix, HP-UX, Solaris, AIX and NCR System V release 4.
- As Box Load/Conversion/System Administrator Specialist was instrumental in facilitating company's move from AT T System V to SCO UNIX 3.2 then 3.4 later renamed Open Desktop . Set standards for system loads and pre-staged independent site loads for shipment to site including assembling the hardware, installing the UNIX operating system and installing the applications. Built and installed in house support and development servers and administered same. On support server installed and customized Brock Control Systems Software for Sales and Ticket Tracking and maintained same including underlying Informix database utilizing SQL.
- In final position retained duties of prior position and became lead Senior Technician for troubleshooting operating system and hardware related issues with customer sites. Traveled to customer sites as necessary for troubleshooting, pre-installation inspections and conversions.
