We are presently evaluating three vendors to provide this service. This project is part of the One-on-One initiative where students on the bus will connect to HISD student resources via Wifi.
Solarwinds Deployment Deployed Solarwinds Orion NPM Core 2012.2.1, IPAM 3.1.1, NCM 7.1.1, NPM 10.4.1, NTA 3.10.0, UDT 2.5.1, IVIM 1.5.0, VNQM 4.0.1. This was to enable greater visibility into HISD's Route/Switch and VoIP network environment. Solution monitors 270 schools and approximately 30 administrative and maintenance buildings.
Data Center Redesign Part of the Engineering team responsible for evaluating the re-design of the present HISD Data Center which will encompass Cisco's Nexus switch platform. With the role of a Contributor in this project, we are designing our Data Center leveraging new feature sets within the Nexus Platform such as vPC and VSS.
- Phase 1 of the HISD Data Center Access Design will include Cisco Nexus 5000 Series Switches and 2000 Series Fabric Extenders with Virtual PortChannels aggregating to a pair of Cisco 6509 switches in VSS pair.
