Project part of new 18th Street Bus maintenance Facility. Project successfully completed. Configuration of Spear Asset Management System for Light Rail Transit HRT uses Spear t manage its high-value moving assets such as rail rolling stock, buses, and support fleets, as well as fixed and linear transportation assets such as support equipment, passenger terminals, track right of way, buildings and other infrastructure assets. Light rail is new addition as a service t the region. T effectively and efficiently manage assets Spear needs t be properly configured with information such as Facilities, Warehouses, Bins, Equipments, Parts, Vendors, Manufactures, Account codes, Users, Procedures etc. Design of new LRT migration system complete, configuration and testing is currently being done before bringing all the information in production. Project successfully completed after research and development over a year. Worked in capacity of project technical lead. Main responsibility included, creating infrastructure, configuring spear application t add different lines of business, data collection, data mapping and loading. It involved creating new infrastructure for new web based tools such as Equipment readings Dashboard Work Request Wheel Readings and help server. Als configured the system tables with new change data and applications, created test plans and documented steps for upgrading production system. Other major steps include introducing key stake holders with benefits of upgrades, training for users, refreshing functional users with critical components of applications and interfaces with other applications and creation of test and upgrade system. Time Table Publisher Project HRT currently uses printed timetables t inform users about Routes the buses would be traveling. Primary task was t inform user community and HRT upper management on what are Timetables and how they are currently created. It is completely manual process which is labor intensive and costly. Created dem using Google Feed Trip Planner data and created various kind of timetables in web format, pdf format. Advantages of using tool cost savings, reduced time t get timetables and generation of dynamic timetables for websites. Map Upgrade for Hastus Management System Hastus application was using Thomas brothers map, new maps supported were that of Tele Atlas. Provided test environment and place t plan the change in maps. Tested critical components of applications after the change. Took backup of existing system and upgraded the system with all the changes. Major task as maps are very difficult t manage in system. Test procedures and Stake holder involvement critical in managing the planned change t a 24x7 system. The whole upgrade was successfully handled. This change was critical t interface information with ACS system, which uses Tele Atlas data. It is used t record events during route. A new radi system ACS is used t record radi communication on routes. Understanding the critical nature of this application, basic infrastructure and design of application was changed. Used aliases t identify application critical parameters, changed code in ini files t manage server mapping, used URLs instead of direct mappings. Created new standby sites and applications t which the application can be moved t without doing major code changes t application infrastructure. Standby databases were created at standby sites. Tw parallel systems created which offers failover capacity and als infrastructure, which is handy for parallel use when doing major upgrade t production system. The new failover system was greatly appreciated and was critical component for this applications 24x7 nature. Peoplesoft Upgrade Planning and Overview Created environment t study Peoplesoft HRMS and Financials upgrade. Installed and created Dem database and instance of App server, process Scheduler and Web sever for release 8.9 Created migration database with HRT's data in it and using the template provided by Peoplesoft upgraded the system from release 8.4 t 9.0 for Peoplesoft Finance and from release 8.3 t 9.0 for Peoplesoft HRMS.
