- This position is responsible for the management, administration, development and support for Datatel Colleague ERP system and its supporting systems. Managing multiple production and development systems involving application installations, software upgrades migrations, performance monitoring, tuning, and system replication. In addition, researches a variety of internal customer requests and responsible for enhancements, changes, and project management for Colleague related technology implementations. Essential Functions: As directed, performs duties such as those outlined below: Administer and maintain Colleague's production, test, and development environments using SA Valet, including the core system and its auxiliary systems such as WebAdvisor. Implement and support new modules and features of Colleague. Coordinate the implementation of new interfaces, migrations and system upgrades, including complete beta and dev QA testing prior to implementation. Track, troubleshoot, and resolve Colleague software and interface issues, including working directly with end users and IT staff.
- Work with server administrators regarding desired enhancements to the Colleague system, which includes providing technical expertise and recommendations for setup and configuration. Provide support and interface with DBA. Administer Unidata, manage and create Colleague/Unidata user accounts including application security classes, and access level setup for users.
- Develop custom enhancements, subroutines, and reports to support business and systems needs including using utilities Envision to build custom packages, calculated columns, and promote to production while following standard software development life cycle practices. Document customized processes, procedures, and code in support of applications. Manage printer setup, maintenance, and customizations using print interface tools such as EasySpooler. Knowledge of methodology and strong industry experience in higher education
- Collaborate with other IT team members and users of the supported systems and applications. Provide proactive and ongoing operational advice regarding server administration, upgrades, and backup/restore operations on the supported platform. Develop detailed project plans that specify goals, time frames, limitations, risks, contingencies, and other resources.
