Jr. Network Support Administration:

Main duties include setting up class reservations for remote users/students. Reservations are accessed with RDP port 443. Class reservations are created via GUI automation system. This is a deployment of required VM's needed for each class on actual equipment. Other reservation's required manual deployment via VMkernal power shell. Other duties include network support for instructors and remote class rooms. Trouble shooting routing protocols on 2900 and 3600 series. Clean up EIGRP and OSPF configuration errors created by instructors and students. Corrected subnetting errors on WAN connections. Also trouble shooting L3 switch VLAN subnets and configuration. Verify and corrected port channel and VLAN configuration and correct other student configuration errors. Often would verify correct subneting IP configurations on distribution and access switches. Supporting Dell host servers, VMware vSphere Client and network topology diagrams. A variety of network issues are researched and addressed to ensure delivery of SLA. The team was also responsible for data center device installation, maintenance and repair. Devices supported include Juniper, Cisco 2900-3600 Routers, Nexus 5000, Nexus 7000, Cisco ASA.

Desktop Support:

Primary job function is providing desktop support for the DPI building. Supported over 1000 end user clients with desktop support needs. Trouble shoot access layer switch issues and verified VLAN's and subnets. The team uses Remedy ticking system to document each work ticket requested. A wide variety of task requested break fix task performed. Virus protection via Symantec, new HP imaging for notebooks and desktops. Network and USB printer set up's and break fix request task performed. Trouble shoot web browser errors, hardware issues, network connectivity and other variety of user client request. I use excellent customer service skills with fast turnaround with all requests. Some incidences required HD removal, OS re-imaging and re-installing software suite. Windows XP to Windows 7 migration for NC-DHHS. I used re-imaging scrip to load Windows 7 and software package for specific departments within DHHS. I also set specific groups to be added to Domain. A Windows 7 re-imaging process was performed on new laptops deployment. LANDesk Management was used to set user group specific software suite. A full HD encryption was required on all portable computer devices via Symantec end point protection. Other applications required were Cisco VPN, IP network USB printer install, Office 2003, 2007, 2010 and Outlook. I also set up Zixit encryption mail for Outlook, Acrobat Professional 7-8 and MS Visio. Total project consist of migrating over 600 old existing and setting up new replacement Windows 7 PC's.

Desktop Support:

Data migration project for Stock Builder Supply. I performed remote data migration from old XP computers to new Windows 7 devices. I used DameWare R.D.C, Active Directory to manage user accounts, setting up Cisco VPN Client and wireless networks. I used FrontRange Incident ticketing application. I transferred Outlook .PST files to new PC's and config. IP network printers. I also set Admin rights and proxy settings on new devices. I was also installing Crystal Report Viewer with other company software. The project consisted of approximately of 500 new desktop computers needed either data moved or a variety of company software. I worked with company managers, my teammates and level 3 supports to meet project goals.
