Responsibilities include developing a monitoring system for SQL Server 2005 servers, assisting with the migration of applications to the staging and live environments, and troubleshooting SQL performance problems. The monitoring system uses the new DM Views and is a rule-based system. Currently there are rules set up to monitor blocking transactions, processes that use more than 5 CPU seconds, or take longer than 30 seconds to run. D
