Provide the best support possible while developing my owns skills to help customers with day to day Linux and UNIX issues. Help test and develop new methods of improving the server side infrastructure including scripts and cronjobs.

Linux System administrator and scripting for ITP supporting Medecision - Day to say support of Linux servers running in Vmware. Setting up and deploying various applications. Writing batch scripts to maintain file updates.

System Administrator at LSI - maintaining compute environment and day to day UNIX/Linux operations. Programming in bash, php and some minor C code for debugging. Updated NIS master to Linux from Solaris while maintaining user environments. Rebuilt Solaris 10 host running tomcat and a local httpd instance with new hardware, Sparc T4-1. Started to look at RHEL 6.4 and new feature set. Wrote various day to day UNIX scripts to run as cronjobs and also to deploy changes site wide. Updated kickstart server to use dhcpd and tftpboot based on a Linux RHEL 5 server. Support apache httpd, samba and CUPS on Linux server side. Worked with Redhat on several cases to help determine if a patch would fix a server side issue. Helped maintain the yum environment rather than use Redhat's product for server side patching. This allowed us to maintain a consistent environment across releases. Setup lab environment using Redhat's QEMU VM application for multi server lab testing environment. This allowed administrators to test patches and new software before releasing into the R D production area. Worked with our database/web development team with supporting their infrastructure. Familiar with various HP, DELL and IBM systems for hardware running RHEL Dell R620, IBM x3550, and HP 585s and above . Worked with engineers when they would experience problems with their UNIX/Linux environments. Setup systems running on a VMWare infrastructure which allowed us to replicate a guest OS to a different cluster running at a remote site. This gave the ability to replicate systems during a disaster. Setup Netbackup systems using SAN attached storage for the catalog backups. Also configured trunking/load balancing on the same Linux netbackup servers to increase throughput for network based backups of remote clients.

System Administrator for Maintech supporting LSI - Multiuser environment running Linux and Solaris servers. Supporting RHEL 4 and 5 OS for the compute environment at the Allentown, PA site. Debug OS related problems using Redhat ticketing system. Compiled and configured XFCE 4.8.0 for engineer workspaces. Worked with customers to migrate from RHEL 4 to RHEL 5 in the compute environment.
