Development and Implementation of a Branch Automation Confidential

l Tasks:

  • Migration of Clients Signature Database
  • Design and Development
  • Implementation

l Programming Languages: VC , C, Progress, Pascal, TSQL, VB6, VB.Net, some Assembler.

l Description:

  • The first big project I worked on was when I began working in 1997, the company where I worked had designed and developed a Branch Automation Software, by that time they were implementing on a bank called BANPRO Banco de la Produccion in Honduras. My job was to help implementing and training tellers on how to use the software. Other tasks included modifying stored procedures on the Bank's host system, using Progress running on Unix NCR .
  • The second project related to this software was on another bank called BAMER Banco Mercantil in Honduras 2000 . My primary job was to migrate the signature database of the bank to our own software, it was somewhat difficult because the images where stored on a database with unknown format, I had to use assembler to reverse engineer the original signature application. Other tasks included modifying some network interface programs that were used as link between the bank's host and our software, I used C and Cobol to make it possible, interprocess communication was made using pipes and the host OS was a Unix AIX .
  • The third project was on another bank called Banco Futuro in Honduras 2002 . My job was again to migrate the signatures database which was running on a Unisys System using CTOS OS. I used pascal for CTOS to retrieve the images and data from the database.
  • The fourth project was on another bank called Banco La Constancia 2005 . My job was to add more features to one of the modules of our software. I designed and programmed all of the new features using VB6.
  • The fifth project was on a Costarican bank called Banco Lafise 2006-2007 . My job was to migrate two modules of the Branch Software from VB6 to VB.Net. Basically I had to rewrite all the code because I wanted to use all the new features in .Net. Some of the features included full OOP and XML Serialization.
  • There was a project to extend the functionality to web of one of the modules in a Branch Automation Software. I designed and developed a demo using ASP, Web Classes and Web Services.
