My day-to-day activities include VM infrastructure provisioning, storage management, VM provisioning, troubleshooting Windows Server 2003/2008, and much more troubleshooting of all sorts. 3 Month Contract In this role I was tasked with a multitude of responsibilities including Active Directory, Exchange, Enterprise Vault, SharePoint 2010, Backup Exec 2010, TMG, windows server 2003 2008, HP SiteScope, Microsoft Lync 2010, VMware, Hyper-V, and group policy on a day-to-day administration level and troubleshoot as needed. On an engineering level I was tasked with designing an Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010 migration. This migration included two cas/hub servers and two mailbox servers which was configured in a DAG. I configured a CAS Array to for high availability which were network load balanced. Also within this project we stood up an entirely new production domain from a remote hands NOC using a Cisco UCS. The new production domain was totally virtual configured in VMware vSphere 5 with more than 80 virtual machines while the other domains were a mix between physical and virtual machines configured from Hyper-V. Totally there were a total of 3 domains including testing which were all managed by the system administration team.Wrote a lot of different scripts for various tasks. Also in this role supporting the helpdesk and executive management was more than expected. Wrote documentation for most all processes that were established during my time at this location. This environment included over 8,000 users internal and external.
