Profile
- NOTE: I will be relocating from Michigan to the Roanoke, VA area in early April to join my husband, who works in Buchanan. I would be ready to start as early as May 15, 2013.
- The honest bio is this: I often get assignments that are challenging. Why I am bright, determined, confident, transparent, and get the job done. Though I am not down-and-dirty technical, I understand the lingo and if I don't, I won't hesitate to ask or research . I get along with just about everyone and have a good sense of humor.
- I graduated from Western Michigan University with high honors in 2000 and was hired into Consumers Energy CMS Energy as a Cobol/C developer. I quickly earned the opportunity to lead a small project automation of two complex paper forms used for gas leak classification and repair. For this effort I managed the full SDLC of the changes and achieved a flawless implementation. Soon afterward, I graduated to a bigger project interfacing our legacy work management system with a mobile application MDSI/Advantex . I was in a technical lead role where I managed data mapping, gathered and documented requirements, coordinated several phases of testing, and planned the cutover into production.
- In Confidential I joined the SAP project which involved replacing dozens of legacy systems with SAP equivalents HR, FI, BI, CRM, PM, PS, MM, and others . I was on the SAP Plant Maintenance EAM side as technical lead for a very large, robust, real-time interface between SAP and Ventyx's Service Suite 8.0 formerly MDSI/Advantex . As part of my responsibilities I wrote or co-wrote nearly 40 detailed functional specifications including mapping hundreds of data fields , created hundreds of test scenarios and supervised a testing team, participated in performance stress testing, and administered a complex cutover plan. During the SAP project I also wrote detailed functional specifications for another interface between SAP and our Outage Management System OMS - Telvent Miner Miner's Responder application. Our go-live date was July 2008.
- For the next three years I supervised a group of analysts supporting integration between our SAP solution ECC 6.0 and a number of third-party applications related to work asset management, including 24x7 support for many of them.
- In Confidential I took a temporarily assignment as Portfolio Transition Lead for an outsourcing effort that the company is currently undergoing. In this role I coordinated knowledge transfer of dozens of applications, interfaces, and other support areas to our sourcing partner. This was no small task considering the magnitude of several integrated solutions, including our real-time outage management and work management solutions. During this time I managed multiple phases of transition scheduling, resource allocation, system access, documentation review approval and worked closely with our vendor leads in daily and weekly alignment meetings.
- My newest position is managing our Outage Management System and GIS Competency team. I have six employees and two contractors providing on-call, base support, and project work for our very complex, integrated OMS/GIS solution. In addition to the normal manager duties goals/objectives, growth development planning, one-on-ones, capacity management, etc , I routinely get pulled into initiatives that touch our system Smart Grid, Customer Value Initiatives, cross-team projects, etc
