SUMMARY
- This position will be responsible for understanding and facilitating excellence in all aspects of day - to-day shift operations for the Network Operations Center

Nuclear Network OperatorResponsibilities:
- Following step by step procedures.
- Ability to monitor software outputs and escalate to appropriate personnel.
- Attend morning planning meetings and give daily verbal reports to management.
- Provide critical outage support to meet SLA agreements
- Answer client calls and escalate accordingly.
- Initiate Service Now tickets and track ticket resolutions
- Monitor the PSEG network devices and servers and applications (tier1, tier 2) by using monitoring tools including: Solarwinds, Ionix, Site Scope.
- Monitor validate and record scheduled and unscheduled server reboots
- Routinely monitor and verify the tower beacon lights
- Monitor the NETS (Nuclear Emergency Telephone System)
- Log all activities and duties preformed on shift.
- Physically rotate optical platters for critical systems
- Verify the specific services running after the server specific reboots.
- Monitor and participate Emergency Preparedness pager drills. Make appropriate callouts.
- Protection radiation drill- Dose limit change on development system by running a batch file.
- NetOps person have centralized access card it will work all the required location and all the entries are logged.
- Every shift will end/start with a handover of information.
- If the one shift operator cannot come in for any reason, previous shift operator will need to stay for coverage.
- As a member of this team you would be required to visit the PSEG off-site location Energy environment resource center location daily.
- Valid Drivers License
- Maintain individual PSEG required Access Authorization, Plant Safety training, Fitness for Duty, and cyber security awareness modules.
- Adhere to Random drug testing program, Background Reinvestigations, Psychological entrance exam.
- Provide vendor escort duties to specific site locations.
- Assist with Data Center equipment lifecycles.
- Assist with other support duties.
- Ability to multitask, troubleshoot and show time management skills.
- Clear communication and accurate reporting of critical information or safety concerns.
