- As lead engineer at Confidential, I was responsible for over 100 plus servers running Microsoft Server operating systems Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003. I added in the design and planning for the new Citrix XPe environment to consist of multiple Citrix XPe Farms for development, quality assurance and production. I was directly responsible for the hands on re-configuration of hardware, Windows 2000 Server installation and deployment. The deployment of multiple Citrix XPe Farms consisting of four development and/quality assurance servers and sixteen production servers. I was responsible for the applications re-deployment, data migration and reinstallation of printer driver and coordination across all Farms. Other duties entailed the end user acceptance testing for applications and printing across the entire new Citrix XPe environment. Extended travel was required.
- I was responsible for the building, and implementation of new servers to be added to the production environment. Some of the tools and utilities used in the day to day support were terminal services, DameWare, Veritas Netbackup, Arcserv Backup, Arcserv BrightStore, CA Antivirus, Norton AntiVirus, monthly patching and updates.
- Responsible for the consolidation and centralization of the backup environment across the WAN including tape backup devices such as LTO Auto changers, Multi Head DLT Changers, DDS Tape changers, internal and external single tape devices. Veritas NetBackup client support for the backup network utilizing Veritas NETBackup.
- Technical lead for the back up and data recover of the 900 plus server environment spanning a WAN environment. Directly responsible for the daily backup verification at each site with site administrators. Directly responsible for the data recovery and monthly testing of data recovery to clients satisfaction.
