  • Created a complaint DMZ architecture for all forward-facing servers and applications. Developed an Out-of-Band management network that forced all administrators to use multi-factor authentication to meet DoD standards.
  • During COVID-19, developed a method of accessing on-premises services remotely using Remote Desktop Services (RDS). Requested ports, protocols, and services exemption from DISA that improved the user experience when accessing these services and applications. RDS provided the same capability as being on-site by allowing users access to Microsoft Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Office applications.

  • During the WannaCry ransomware attack on London’s National Health Service (NHS) hospital system, monitored the United Kingdom BBC network.   • Instituted a User Activity Monitoring (UAM) program using Exabeam User Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) tool. Used innovative analytics technology that included machine learning and deep learning to discover abnormal and risky behavior by users, machines, and other entities on the corporate network.

Established a partnership with MIT Lincoln Laboratory as part of the CLOUDBREAK Campaign 2 Joint Capability Technology Demonstration (JCTD) to design a hierarchical Cyber architecture and reporting structure. Established a CyberCOP working group for the project stakeholders to develop functional requirements and identify potential solutions for a CyberCOP capability.
