EXPERIENCE

Systems Analyst

  • Provide business and technical support to several of Confidential manufacturing divisions. Tools required to perform this job are COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, ESP, Alchemist, Endevor, Word, Visio, Excel, VB Macros and SLC processes.
  • Provide all manufacturing support for the Hydraulic Valve division in Richmond, CA and Tuscon, AZ. This includes working directly with the divisions programming manager to provide direction and to set project priorities.
  • Assisted the Hydraulic Valve division in adding a new production scheduling system Logility . This allowed for improved scheduling of equipment and resources and lead to significant cost savings.
  • Worked with Hydraulic Pump division in Columbus, OH to write new order entry system. The updated system allowed them to cut several days off of their offshore shipping and saved substantial costs at the freight forwarder.

Confidential Systems Analyst, Developer

Confidential lead on a project to directly load medical data from the Medgate system to the GM Timekeeping system. This enabled the old Medgate system to be shut down and resulted in significant cost savings. This was a six month project that heavily used COBOL II, JCL, CICS, DB2, CA7, Fileaid, Endevor, MS Project, Word, Visio, Excel and SLC processes.

Confidential Systems Analyst, Technical Support

  • Independently designed a new procedure for general ledger year-end roll over to greatly improve efficiency and reduce accounting errors when resetting IMS databases.
  • Technical lead on several of Goodyear's key financial systems. Responsibilities included all support and enhancements to the General Ledger, Check Reconciliation, Purchasing and Rubber Manufacturing Reporting systems. The skill set required to do this job were COBOL/COBOL II, JCL, DB2, Telon, IMS, Fileaid, SAS, Focus, Lotus Notes, MS Project, Word, Visio, Excel, FTP and SLC processes.
  • Member of a team to update the process of reporting sales to the Rubber Manufacturing Association. This was a high visibility project that assisted upper management in forecasting sales and scheduling production in the plants.
  • Mainframe lead on project to switch the EDI bank files from feeding the mainframe Check Reconciliation system to the SAP system.

Confidential Systems Analyst, EDI Specialist

  • Maintained EDI translator setting up and mapping new trading partners and coordinating with the various customer VAN's Value Added Networks .
  • Team lead for the Requirements and Warehouse systems. This included all updates and enhancements to these Cobol IMS based systems using all phases of the systems life cycle.
  • Technical leader for Confidential and Production Control and Logistic Systems. The skill set required to do this job were COBOL/COBOL II, IMS, MFS, CICS, DB2, CA7, JCL, Control M, Fileaid, Endevor, MS Project, Word, Visio, Excel and SLC processes.
  • Worked with offshore resources to help reduce programming costs.
  • Member of the team to redesign the Requirements system and receive EDI data in the ANSI X12 and Edifact standards.
  • Oversaw all remittance processing to various banks for EDS's Credit Counseling agencies.
