Dynamic Cacti Weathermaps, automatically created from Visio diagrams, were developed with custom RRD files containing imported Compuware CAS data, which helped troubleshoot cloud applications on a single real-time dashboard with very fast reporting and drill-in capabilities. Perl and Ext JS were used to centralize all device sources (CA tools, SCOM, CMDB, vCenter, SCCM, LMS, Infoblox, NetZoom, etc.) into a baseline to establish 100% monitoring, cleanup CMDB CIs, establish locations/applications for each device, create dynamic search UIs to users for all devices, and feedback asset information into missing fields in various monitoring tools. A Perl script was developed script to send SCOM 2012, Compuware, and eHealth reports to SharePoint site each week with full documentation of the solution turned over.
