OBJECTIVE:
- A senior electronic test engineering position with a medical device company with responsibility from test requirements to implementation of production test.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Skills: Production test experience built on a design development background of PCBA mixed signal and micro - controller circuits. Test performance including distribution, Cpk monitoring, test limit definition and yield using the SAS JMP statistical tool. Documentation protocols for qualifying production test systems. Managed product production test at a 3rd party manufacturing vendor.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Staff Electrical Test Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Development of test systems for the RP3, RP4, RP4-USB,and DW5 products, each introduced into production with product shipped. Test development ranged from hardware design of a test fixture to specifying and managing test firmware and software development. Responsible for production test yield monitoring and improvement.
- In all 4 product families, specified the test requirements based on close work with the design engineers. I have leveraged my design development background to identify and design fixes for test problems from signal transmission issues to sporadic ASIC performance-related issues affecting test.
- Worked across multiple groups within Proteus and with outside vendors to implement and optimize test systems.
- The most recent was identifying and designing a fix for a test issue related to product design that resulted in a yield improvement from 85% to high 90’s % on a product. This was just prior to start of production runs of 10K and 30K product.

Staff Development Design Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Development of one ophthalmologic surgical laser system from specification to production release. Development of a second ophthalmologic surgical laser thru the final stages of System Integration.
- Generated electronic system specifications from Product Requirements, defined electronic system architecture with software team members, and developed mixed signal PCBA and FPGA designs. Closely supervised PCB design, managed prototype PCB fab / assembly, procured prototype parts, worked with Regulatory staff to develop a Hazard Analysis document and design description for the 501K submission. Brought up prototype hardware including electronic design verification test, system integration with software team members, and supported system level verification testing. Released PCBA / FPGA design documents for production.

Senior Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Designed a second-generation laser controller based on experience gained in supporting the prototype product. PCBA design was a mixed-signal, FPGA-based design using Verilog-coded digital control loops for laser power using low level sensor signals and digital signal processing of laser “bubble” feedback signals. A third generation controller with added features was designed, but not fabricated or debugged.
- Selected a PCB design service, a PCB fab vendor, and a PCB assembly vendor. Participated in selection of a cable/wiring vendor. Generated manufacturing release documentation for all electrical system hardware (cables, in-house designed PCB assemblies, and procurement specs for outside assemblies).

Senior Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Support. Resolved a manufacturing problem with a 160 MHz ECL circuit. Other manufacturing problems included Altera CPLD design changes using AHDL. Researched signal integrity backplane issues using ‘scope pictures and HyperLynx signal integrity simulation.
