• Lead Systems Engineer responsible for the relocation, transition, consolidation of systems services from four DOD sites into an enterprise architecture at a Datacenter in Ft.Meade in support of the Congressional Mandated Base Realignment Closure BRAC project. In Cisco Unified Computing Systems, created server service profiles, Boot from SAN profiles, UUID suffix pools, VLANS, WWWN WWPN pools, VSAN's, MAC address pools for Cisco UCS Blade servers. On the Cisco MDS 9148 Fiber Switch, created VSAN's, Zoning and zonesets for systems in 3 segmented enclaves. In Unisphere Manager, created Storage pools, RAID groups, LUNs and provisioned to ESX Hosts. Designed and executed the CIFS, NFS File Shares Data migration from 4 DOD sites to the new Datacenter, as part of the BRAC project. Installed, configured and deployed Remote Desktop Server Connection Broker, license, WebAccess, Gateway and Session Hosts servers. Deployed new AD/DC/DNS, SQL, Printer, Backup, DHCP, WSUS servers. Developed Architectural Design plans which included the Engineering Installation Plan, Transition Cutover Plan, Application Data Migration Plan, System Design Plan document deliverables that were all approved by the customer. Conducts cost analyses and evaluates vendor capabilities to provide the most complex required products or services. Recommends vendor s and approach and presents to senior management/customer as appropriate. Works within established framework of ITIL v3 methods to complete assigned tasks.

Lead Engineer of Architectural design, planning, implementation, upgrade, migration and conversion project aimed at virtualizing our Agency's network infrastructure. Design tasks included analyzing our current infrastructure, defining business and technical requirements, conducted product research and vendor market survey to meet technical design specifications. Successfully implemented, installed and configured the Blade Enclosure's Onboard Administrator modules, Virtual Connect Ethernet and Fiber Channel modules, EVA SAN, Brocade switches, zoning, LUNS and MSL Backup Library System. Deployed VMware vSphere4 in our upgraded environment. Tasks included installing and configuring vSphere ESX4 hosts, a Virtual Center database server, port groups, virtual machines, clones, templates, Virtual Update manager. Successfully installed, configured and deployed Systems Center Operations Manager 2007, and deployed the agent to all the Managed Servers. Tasks included configuring notifications e-mail recipients and subscriptions, creating run-as accounts and profiles, unit monitors, configuring database grooming, imported management packs, installing and configuring SCOM Reporting, created report scheduling and configured alert settings Planned, implemented and deployed SharePoint 2007 in a Server Farm that includes an index and query Back-End server and a Web Front End server. SharePoint configuration involved creating and configuring a Shared Services Provider, creating site collections and SharePoint sites, document library, workflow and email settings. Completed, submitted and proposed a Cost-Benefit Analysis Project plan aimed at upgrading our current legacy hardware and network infrastructure that would potentially result in cost savings of well over 30,000. Successfully configured and deployed a Microsoft Windows Server Update Services 3.0 server. Played a lead role in drafting the Conceptual Baseline Design Packages for our Upgrade Infrastructure Technology Enhancement Project ITEP . Successfully completed implementing, installing, deploying and upgrading our Symantec Anti-Virus parent and client servers to Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager version 11.Tasks included installing the console, importing client servers and configuring policies, reports and customizing install packages Responsible for conducting extensive product research and procurement, obtaining vendor product quotes on network devices and applications and providing recommendations on product investments. Completed and submitted Change Configuration Proposals CCP requesting network, system and firewall rules configuration requirements, modifications and enhancements. Led Project aimed at consolidating servers and reducing rack utilization by 2, which resulted in a cost savings of 3800 per month on rack charges and a reduction in power and energy consumption. Active Directory administration included creating user accounts, OU's, security groups and GPO's. Exchange server tasks included creating mailboxes, storage groups, checking message queues and Queue Viewer.
