The company was Re-Implementing Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 from 11.0.3 version of Oracle ERP. I was part of the technical team involved in Conversion of data from R11 to R12.

Responsibilities:

  • Review the Conversion scripts and Technical Validation/ Data cleansing Scripts created for validating the converted data relating to AP Suppliers, AP Supplier Sites, AP Invoices, GL Balances, GL Journals, Open Purchase Orders etc and fix issues observed.
  • Co-ordinate with the Subject Matter Experts and Business Analysts.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to the offshore development team.

Oracle Financials

The company enters the Customer data and Orders information in Siebel. Through custom interfaces, the Customer data is interfaced into Oracle Receivables and Orders information are interfaced into Oracle Projects. Invoices are created from Oracle Receivables and Oracle Projects.

  • Managing a team of off-shore consultants for providing support for maintenance

Oracle R12 Upgrade Project

The project involves upgrading the client's ERP system from Oracle 11.5.10 to 12.1.3. The client specialize in kiosk products for the retail, financial, travel, healthcare, food service, entertainment, gaming and public sector industries. Their main products are self-service kiosks, point-of-sale terminals, automated teller machines, check processing systems, barcode scanners and business consumables. They are also one of the largest providers of IT maintenance support services.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying modifications to be made to the custom programs for
  • sending extracts from various tracks of ERP to EDW due to structural changes of
  • various tables in R12, preparation of Functional and Design Specification
  • documents, mentor the developers for modifying the PL/SQL programs for creation of extract files to be sent to EDW, reviewing the codes, co-ordinating with the EDW team and testing of the extracts processes.
  • Responsible for identifying the modifications to be made to the client's RICEW
  • components such as custom processes and custom reports in Accounts Payable based on the changes in the functionalities in R12 viz. introduction of Invoice Lines, integration with E-Business Tax, Suppliers/Supplier Sites migrated to TCA parties, Banks and bank branches migrated to TCA parties and introduction of Subsidiary Ledger Accounting SLA , preparing Functional Specification documents, guiding the developers in the development process and testing the development.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of Business Requirements and Preparation of Functional Specification
  • documents for following requirements:
  • --In-transit shipment transactions at the Central Warehouse for shipment of parts from Suppliers/Regional Warehouse to the Custom Engineers. Creation of a custom form for performing in-transit receipts/shipment, consolidation/splitting of shipments at the Central Warehouse for shipment of spare parts from suppliers/Regional Warehouse to the Custom Engineers and Return of excess/defective spare parts from Custom Engineers to the suppliers/Regional Warehouse.
  • --Automation of Pick Release process for Emergency orders for shipment of spare parts by customizing the Order Line Workflow process using Workflow Builder. The order line workflow was customized to include pick release process and automatic printing of pick ship labels immediately after the automated Pick Release process.
  • --Interfacing with external applications and interfacing with external web applications using Service Oriented Architecture SOA Enterprise Service Bus.

  • and Design Specification documents for interfacing journal data and invoice data from external systems into GL and Payables tables, creation of custom interface tables, creation of Control files for loading data from flat files into custom interface tables, creation of PL/SQL procedures for Conversion of the data from legacy/external systems and performing validation/enrichment of the data and creation of PL/SQL procedures for loading the data from the custom interface tables to GL INTERFACE and Payables Open Interface tables.
