Working as a consultant to Aetna Health care on updating and upgrading their monitoring suite of tools to the BMC BPPM version 9.5 suite. Worked heavily in the area of Patrol Central Operations PCO and Patrol Configuration Manager PCM to configure and set up all alerting to events, including testing and documenting all test cases and certification.
Performed the complete architectural design, selection of vendor, build out, and implementation of the monitoring solutions for DHS Headquarters at the St. Elizabeths campus in Southeast DC utilizing the ITIL model. This design incorporated the BMC BPPM set of tools as well as importing the alerts from some 30 plus monitoring tools, including Solar Winds, What's up Gold, and NetScout utilizing the Syslogs and SNMP traps from those tool sets. Wrote the design documents, designed the architectural diagrams, created the SOP's for the BMC Patrol Monitoring, and set the SLA's to turn over to the 24x7 NOC/O M group. Also wrote the code, utilizing the Master Rule Language MRL to integrate the SNMP traps with the BMC BPPM tools. Performed all upgrades and mitigations needed to pass the ATO from a C A standpoint.
