Network Administrator

Tasked to fill gaps in knowledge and technical skill sets of existing IT Staff. Filling a hybrid role across all teams, including but not limited to Linux, VMware, Active Directory and Networking.

• Built a LAMP server and custom web site template that serves as a software repository and knowledge base for the helpdesk.

Systems Engineer

Contracted to Dell and worked with IBM to build, patch, and install and configure ISEC software on RHEL and Solaris systems IBM provided a “Build sheet” and would then build multiple servers according to specs. Custom partitions, network configuration, and user administration would be included on the build sheet. The servers would have to be presented to an “Ops Readiness” board after meeting ISEC parameters set by the State of Georgia. The build sheet would usually contain at least 5 servers and they would be a mix of bare metal and virtual.

Linux Systems Administrator

•  Developed final evolution of the Uber Box (Version 2.5) running on VMWare which incorporated efficient use of all relevant tools and any new regulations and standards required by the client. This virtual machine was the sole source of connectivity to the client's network resources and was the crucial component to fulfilling the contracted duties of the service desk.
