The infrastructure of the bank consists of 630 windows based servers running multi-faceted programs and operations. A Large portion of these servers are located throughout the southeast at our branches. It is my responsibility to maintain the uptime and availability of these servers, and to troubleshoot and new or ongoing issues. Of the 630 windows based servers, 90% are virtualized using VMWare and Hyper-V. The current environment is always changing and we are in the process of cleaning up the infrastructure from previous bank purchases. Along with the windows based systems we have several hundred citrix servers.
I am also responsible as the onsite and Raleigh office administrator of the SolarWinds software. I am responsible for additions to the environment for monitoring through SolarWinds and for the daily monitoring and troubleshooting of the environment.
