Programmer/EDI Analyst

• It was an on-going project and I joined on implementation phase for Shipping EDI that exchanges X12, TDCC and EDIFACT format file with Terminal, Rail, Customer and US Customs. It runs as a Client/Server system on PowerBuilder V5.0, AIX Oracle V7.3.2 and EDI-Answer V3.1 which was implemented as a data translation tool. In charge of a modification, adding up more functions to EDIS (Client/Server System) as well.

EDI Setup and Mapping

• EDI-Answer(Translator) was used to setup EDI partnership and mapping code translation. X12 and TDCC format file was exchanges with Terminal, Rail, Customer and US Customs via X.25, TCP/IP, FTP communication.
• EDI Van Service like Geis and Kleinschmidt was used as well.

Employee Attendance System

• It functioned that attendance status and Overtime and Vacation / Sick Day are registered so that up-to-date balance could be calculated automatically. Visual Basic V5.0 and Access Database were used as for a development tools.

Miscellaneous Invoicing System

• Developed from analysis of user’s requirement and internal and external design to implementation phase. It was developed with PowerBuilder V5.0 as a Client/Server system connected with Oracle Database on AIX Unix Server through SQL*Net TCP/IP networking environment. System was functioned as Account Management, Invoice Transaction Recording, Invoice Print, Ad-hoc Report Generation and so on.

Asset Inventory Management System

• Developed and successfully signed off. Analyzed user’s requirement, designed, programmed and implemented. It was developed with Visual Basic V4.0 with MS-Access Database.
• System was functioned as various required Code Master Maintenance, Asset data Input and Crystal Reporting Module.

Legal Claim Management System

Confidential General Information Service

• Was in charge of requirement analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation as a project leader. System was developed on PC facilities and telephone tool kit using MS-C and Visual Basic so that data can be scattered on customer’s telephone tool kit or client server terminal from host database when customer requests a query.

Automatic HAWB Pre-Print System

• Was in charge of requirement analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation as a project leader. It was developed with Informix SQL, 4GL, C4GL and Unix Korn Shell on Unix and Informix environment.
• There was a requirement to automate HAWB pre-printing in order to Courier delivers the HAWB pre-printing form before customer requests it.
• According to the requirement, the automatic functions about analysis of customer HAWB usage and request frequencies and register the printing schedule with the analyzed data and printing was developed.
• Also manual registration and confirmation function was given to the system.

Shipment Control System

• Participated in requirement analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation as a project leader. It was very complicatedly interfaced logistic system and it took long year until a successful implementation.
• It was configured with a special flow control and monitoring logic when data flows from Scanner, through PC interface and to Mainframe, down to Conveyor controller and network.
• Programming languages were MS-C, Quick Basic, MS-Cobol, Informix SQL, 4GL and C4GL, Unix Korn Shell and UDL for HandHeld’s Portable Scanner.

Customs Bonded Warehouse System

• Was in charge of requirement analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation. With CBWS(Customs Bonded Warehouse System), shipment manifesting information was taken from Confidential network, shipment location scanning data was captured from end-user’s scanner and integrated with the network data in order to automatically generate Warehousing schedule and Declaration document.
• Also, each progress and final status were transferred to Inventory database of Mainframe. Programming languages were Quick Basic, Informix SQL, 4GL and C4GL and Unix Korn Shell.

Researcher/Programmer

• Participated in analysis, design, construction and implementation of as a programmer.
• One of manufacture company was selected as a modeling case to get a financial aid from UNDP and so the computerization plan about factory, inventory and office work was constructed within the budget. Factory Automation, Inventory Control, Personnel and Payroll and Finance modules were developed successfully as a tailoring system. The system was deployed to other same business area.
