OSP Design Engineer/ GIS Specialist

Responsibilities:
  • Started with the company as the Lead GIS Technician responsible for engineering the Google Fiber project in the Atlanta market.
  • Heavy usage of ArcGIS system to coordinate and map communication routes for installing fiber optic cable Aerial and underground through the city. 
  • Designed OSP routes plus locating and documenting pole locations.
  • Use of Yuma software with is a GPS locator that receives signals from satellites to determine the right coordinates of a distribution line for Google Fiber.
  • Responsible for updating the networks, and fixing the defective Yuma’s that slowed down production.
