New design increased redundancy/availability utilizing FabricPath and vPC on the Nexus platform while reducing the overall network footprint
  • Developed the network architecture for one of the first high performance Cloud Computing environments for the Army’s Premier Data Center running on the Cisco Nexus platform. This architecture will be deployed at multiple sites and will utilize the latest Cisco Nexus technologies including VPC (virtual port channel) and Fabric Path for redundancy and performance.
  • Completely overhauled and upgraded the core network infrastructure from 1Gb to 10Gb while removing all single points of failure in the network down to the physical server connections. This complex, highly available network solution incorporated the latest technology across multiple vendor platforms including, but not limited to, Cisco Nexus VPC, Cisco VSS, Cisco GLBP, Juniper Networks NSRP and F5 Big IP LTM clustering.
