Responsibilities:
- Researched and analyzed open source maps and documents; Agency Confidential data to determine the appropriate transportation data specific to the project’s three proposed Highway/Road and Railroad routes
- Researched and analyzed agency’s commercial imagery for both the interpretation and evaluation process of the data and creation of an area of missing CPEC Highway/Road data.
- Added appropriate record attribution and metadata to assist others in understanding the data, and sources used within the projects.
- Generated Confidential graphics in both hard and soft copy formats for both projects and with Geodatabases containing the feature class files were then posted to the agency’s website.
- Researched and analyzed both previously collected open source information (ground photo, data harvested from google maps and wikimapia), and agency’s digitized topographic maps of area of interest.
- Researched and analyzed the appropriate commercial imagery and geo - referenced needed maps.
- Analyzed the source information and records of discovered important points of interest the project.
- Added appropriate attribution and metadata; Confidential Graphics generated and posted to the agency’s website.
- Researched and analyzed Agency produced city maps, native produced city, and tourist maps having identifiable neighborhood names; those with native names were translated by the appropriate Geo-Names expert when need.
- A feature class file for each map and each neighborhood was generated.
- Analyzed the overlay of each and a final feature class was generated to represent the approximate neighborhood boundary limits with the needed attribution and metadata added.
- Quality check done with the final geodatabase and feature classes were added to the agency’s internal website.
- Researched and analyzed Agency Confidential data in conjunction with an Excel spreadsheet to confirm correct names and locations of villages and towns by using an Agency program Gazelle Scope.
- The geographic coordinates from the analyzed data were added back to the excel spreadsheet.
- Researched and analyzed open source to acquire the required religious and ethnic information and Agency Confidential data.
- Modification of the Agency data in order add the ethnic and religious data to the attribution as well as metadata.
- Each ethnic group was then displayed graphically using a thematic map.
- The map graphics and Confidential data were then linked to the Agency’s internal website.
