- Created technical detailed designs documents and presented to business and technical staff for approval to support business requirements supporting the changes needed for MasterCard. After design approval, each of the following were developed, thoroughly tested, and implemented into production.
- Receive new MC monetary input files (general and fee’s) into new jobs that flow in with other inbound monetary transactions. This included new JCL and job scheduling changes.
- Modification to existing process to now recognize when an account’s service charge type code changes to create a new file to send to Customer Information System with new limit code values. This involved a PCD map change, PCD 55500 entries for limit code values, new SDB’s, and JCL changes
- Created process to recognize a new account opening via the web to set the account up with the new MC required fields and update other in-house application DB2 tables.
- Built new PAS method(s) allowing in-house server applications to ask for and receive card limit amounts off of the mainframe.
- Learned and executed multiple versions of the Hogan Confidential batch test cycles front to back on a daily basis. These cycles are critical for business analysts to conduct test scenario’s needed in supporting a myriad of projects.
- Mentored three junior programmers transitioning from the military into the IT world by providing guidance and sharing experiences while running test cycles.
- Created a complete new batch test cycle environment to be used for validating and comparing before and after files to ensure quality before installation into production. This was a massive effort that included account selection, scrambling of data, refreshing all databases, building of execution jcl, procs and control cards, and then finally execution of the full batch cycle.
