Responsibilities:

  • Recently internal Listed Derivatives Middle Office Operations team escalated that there no trades are being received from any one of the European exchanges.
  • As the Exchange cut off was approaching, I (from Production Support team) started a conference call with Middle Office Operations, Trade flow Technology, Internal network team.
  • Once all the connectivity was checked and confirmed by internal network team, Production Support team reached out to
  • Exchange help desk and got their network team involved on the conference call to work with our internal network team to check the connectivity between Confidential and Exchange.
  • Finally it was identified that issue was with one of Exchange s port being down and that causing the connectivity outage.
  • After the issue was fixed by Exchange, connectivity was back up and trade backlogs were caught up before Exchange cut off.
  • We generate Futures Daily Statements, Futures T+1 reports, Margin Payment Receipt reports, Intraday Trades report etc. are from our Client Reporting batches.

There have been issues of trade files uploaded by Client not getting processed thus impacting the trade flow into Confidential internal systems.In that scenario, we get Trade file application developers on a conference call to investigate issue along with and Client help desk (Client Solutions) team if client needs to be approached in case of any data quality issue with trade files uploaded by Clients.
