  • Planned, designed and implemented a new Citrix solution for all of Amtrak. Redesigned an exsisting farm that consisted of Metaframe 1.8, Metaframe XPe Feature Release 1, 2 and 3.
  • Created a new zone, redesigned and configured one server with such applications as, Fingate, Spear 2000, Chase Insight, Timberline, Cyrstal Reports, Voloviewer, Adobe Acrobat, Synergy, Dameware, SAP, Attachmate, Oracle, Asis, Hyperion, Timesheet Lite, Office 2003, Linkone (catalog software), Peregrine, Debt Lease, Remote Desktop, just to name a few.
  • Installed and configured many Citrix clients for connections to the Citrix farm. The main client used was the web client and the Java client.
  • Designed, configured and implemented the Java client on a wide scale. This required the installation and configuration of the Java plugins as well the Java 2 Runtime Environment standard Eidtion v1.3.1. All applications were pushed out via the Citrix Web Interface and through an Emergent Online lock down desktop.
  • Implemented Citrix Secure Gateway saving Amtrak an estimated two million plus dollars a year. This one server was configured using mirrored drives. The other twenty plus severs were then cloned. The result was a single farm all running Metaframe XPe Feature Release 3, all identical and all load balanced. Configured the STA server, the CSG server and setup the Firewall rules for each server in the farm from the DMZ.
  • Support NT4.0 and Windows 2000 Advance server (with Windows 2000\2003 Active Directory) networks in TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS, 100BASETX environments. Was part of design team that tested and implemented Citrix Metaframe XP in a Windows 2000 and 2003 with Active irectory in a partial production environment.
