• Responsible for the scheduling, coordinating, and supervising of all onsite electrical maintenance activities in a mill environment utilizing mill personal and subcontractors.
• Complete project electrical planning and determine scope of work for major upgrade projects with a focus on reliability and reducing energy costs.
• Monitor work performance and productivity of mill personnel and subcontractors as assigned to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are maintained.
• Coordinate best practices with supply chain manager on all purchase orders related to keep - fill consumables, equipment and spare part inventory. Maintain accountability for all electrical project functions including resources, budget, and schedule through daily communication and monthly reports.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring as well as developing training opportunities for electrical team.
• Electrical and Instrumentation, Industrial Electrical, and Construction Electrical Apprenticeship Instructor with twenty seven years of technical college and in-plant contract training experience.
• Responsible for managing and training many hundreds of apprentices and associate degree students in all aspects of industrial electrical and instrumentation installations including maintenance and repair of plant power systems, design and troubleshooting of automation controls, and testing and calibration of process control systems.
• Proficient in National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E requirements and excel in analyzing and problem solving various electrical controls and systems.
