Responsibilities:- Used laptops, tablets, and other peripheral software. Installed, removed, rearranged, programmed, tested, troubleshoot, and maintained both fiber and copper networks for both commercial and residential platforms.
- Received service tickets via email, dispatch, and through cell phone. Based on the type of service requested, I gathered the necessary equipment and supplies to complete the service ticket. I returned all old equipment back to our warehouse.
- Managed and showed accountability for receiving, staging, and tracking IT equipment control and policies through my mobile desk. I adhered to service standards and the service levels established by our company. This was accomplished daily.
- Participated in the pilot of FIOS in both the rural and city areas. Some of the reasons the pilot was successful was because of the teamwork and training we received.
- Installed and configured routers, and set top boxes. Assisted with PC software when it was needed and ensured proper configuration of the customers PC.
- Interacted with the Fiber Solution Center Team both Tier I and Tier II to troubleshoot different problems pertaining to software as well as newly installed and existing hardware.
- Installed, maintained and repaired outside and inside fiber equipment and facilities including inside wiring and fiber jumpers at the distribution hub.
- Interfaced with customers to negotiate the placement of equipment as well as assisting with account registration, email, and web access. I trained the customer on how to use their new equipment. I would setup the “Home Agent” which would assist them with troubleshooting network problems independently (for example, running a speed test). I also would respond to inquiries and provided helpful tips.
- Interfaced weekly all staff meetings ( Corporate IT groups) to discuss and share recent lessons learned, upcoming technology, teambuilding workshops, and success stories.
