Responsibilities:
- Subject Matter Expert for the Automated Floorplan, Credit Availability and Title Updating web services among numerous other web services.
- Developed and enhanced the PL/SQL code for several new web services while working with our contracted IBM Websphere Message Broker resources in automating our floor planning and credit availability services with our partners. Overall these services allow for a better, faster, more accurate integrated solution for both the business and our partners
- These services allow floorplans and credit availability to be received and sent systematically from and to our partners in a more efficient manner.
- Previously the business would manually enter floorplans into our system sent from our partners in email and create credit availability files to be sent to our partners through email.
- This is a significant change considering roughly 13k floorplans a week while also sending thousands of dealer credit records to over a half dozen partners.
- Numerous enhancements were made to how the web messages processed in order to allow for customization specific to a particular business partner’s needs.
- Once the aforementioned web services were developed it was suggested by me that we automate the Title Updating process. Doing so:
- Saved the business time and money by negating the need for manual entry into the system to change the title status on a floorplan. As nearly 50% of our weekly floorplan count (roughly 13k) was affected.
- The change in title processing not only reduced the workload, but also allowed our partners to get paid much faster.
- Initially the business stakeholders had to be sold on giving up manual control in some cases and trust the system to an automated process. Especially, with high profile partners of which we have exclusive servicing contracts with. They needed to be reassured that proper system alerts and error handling throughout the technology stack were in place to notify our team immediately if a problem occurred.
- Countless Oracle Form and Reports changes.
- Tested Oracle Forms and Reports during a database upgrade.
- Worked extensively with end users in resolving production support related issues.
