- Brian participated in a migration of Oracle databases 10g on Windows platform to 11.2.0.4 on Exadata using diverse options: Transportable tablespaces, RMAN, physical and snapshot standbys, Goldengate and Oracle Advanced Replication. He analyzed, reviewed and created mapping to convert the Oracle Advanced Replication into Goldengate replication for databases of various sizes from nearly 1TB to about 120TB. He performed a several technologies to analyze databases and support the team using in house SQL and PLSQL scripts and EM12c tools such as AWR reports and SQL Performance Analyzer, to diagnose performance issues and provided recommendations. Brian documented several papers focusing on either step by step implementations or known issues and fixes when making software configuration changes. He also installed and configured EM 13c (13.1 and 13.2) which included the EM Plugin deployment and client agents on both Linux and Windows based platforms.
- Brian installed and configured Golden Gate Monitor Server including JAgent to monitor more than 250 databases across the globe.
- Brian installed a v ariety of Databases on RAC and single instances running on legacy storage or Exadata Machine. He also installed and configured the Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control. He managed backups and recovery of these instances using RMAN and Data pump utilities. He configured the production DR environment using Oracle Data Guard.
